Tour Overview
This 9 Day safari allows you to explore four (4) of the most exciting national parks in the Pearl of Africa: Murchison Falls National Park, Kibale National Park, Queen Elizabeth National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. You have a chance to see the African Big 5 and other wildlife plus trek the endangered mountain gorillas in the pristine Bwindi Forest. Take in sights of the beautiful countryside as you connect from and back to the city plus linking from one national park to another.

Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer from Kampala to Murchison Falls national park
After having breakfast at the hotel, your safari driver will pick you up and we set off to Murchison Falls national park, we shall have an en-route lunch in Masindi and proceed to the park arriving in the afternoon. Drive to the top of the falls and witness the world’s most powerful waterfalls. Thereafter, we drive to the northern side of the park for a short game drive before retiring to our lodge. There’s a chance to see animals like elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and lion among others.

Day 2: Game drive and boat cruise
We shall rise up early, have breakfast and head out for a morning game drive, still around the northern part of Murchison falls national park. The 4-5 hours drive allows us explore the plains, woodlands and wetland areas where we might spot elephants, Jackson’s hartebeest, giraffes, hippos, lions, and leopard among others. Return to the lodge for lunch and later on head for the boat cruise at Paraa. The approximately 3-hour boat cruise takes us to the bottom of the waterfalls. Along the way, we expect to see lots of hippos, birds and crocodiles.

Day 3: Transfer to Kibale national park
This is our last day at Murchison falls national park; so right after breakfast, we check out and transfer to Kibale national park. Drive via the stunning Albertine escapement to Kibale national park. You will have an en-route lunch, then dinner and overnight at the Isunga Lodge in Kibale.
Day 4: Chimpanzee tracking in Kibale Forest
Enjoy an early morning breakfast at the lodge and then transfer to the park offices for briefing about chimpanzee tracking. We will be guided by a ranger guide to take us around the forest in search of apes. Once we spot them, we’ll stay with them for an hour and thereafter return to the offices, meet our safari guide and return to the lodge for an afternoon relaxation.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park
We’ll wake up at our leisure, and transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via the crater area. Our drive is featured with views of the twinning Rwenzori ranges all the way from Kabarole to Kasese. Depending on the time spent viewing the craters, we could have an en-route lunch in Fort Portal or Kasese and evening game drive in the plains of Queen Elizabeth national park to look out for some big mammals. After the short game drive, we head to our lodge for dinner and the overnight, Elephant Hab Lodge.
Day 6: Morning game drive and boat cruise
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Kasenyi plains for a 4-hours game drive. There is an opportunity of spotting lions, leopard, hyena, and elephants. Uganda kobs, waterbucks, warthogs and buffaloes are common and can easily be seen in most parts of Kasenyi during the game drive. In the afternoon, we go to Mweya for the Kazinga channel boat cruise. This is another wonderful experience of viewing numerous wildlife in the water and on the shores; hippos, crocodiles, buffaloes, warthogs and an array of bird species. We return to the lodge at the end of the boat cruise and relax.
Day 7: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
After breakfast at the lodge, we set off for Bwindi via Ishasha. There’s a chance of spotting tree climbing lions in Ishasha while on a short game drive. On this 8-10 hours journey depending on the trekking sector, we shall have an en-route lunch and arrive at the lodge in the evening.

Day 8: Gorilla trekking and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
We’ll wake up and have breakfast at the lodge, pack our lunch and head to the starting point for a briefing about gorilla trekking. This is one of the best adventures to do in Africa. Through the forest, we move with a ranger guide until we find the mountain gorillas, face them and see how they go about their daily life. After an hour with them, we return to the park offices and pick our trekking certificates, then embark on the journey to Lake Bunyonyi.

Day 9: Canoe ride and return to Kampala
After breakfast, we go for our last safari activity before we return to Kampala. Get aboard the dugout canoe and sail on the beautiful Lake Bunyonyi. After 2-3 hours of the ride, meet the safari driver and drive back to Kampala.
