This 8 Days Rwanda safari will take you to the most known national parks in Rwanda where you will take part in different activities that is game drives, boat cruise, gorilla trekking hiking, chimpanzee tracking and much more. This will expose you to primates and other wildlife in the parks such as the mountain gorillas, chimpanzees, lions, hippos, crocodiles, leopards, Masai giraffes, Zebras, warthogs and many more others.

Detailed itinerary.
Day 1: Arrival and drive to the hotel in Kigali.
Arrive and immediately be picked by the driver guide who will take you through a short briefing about the tour. You will head to the hotel Fort your accommodation.
Day 2: Transfer to Akagera national park.
Transfer to Akagera national park which is a home to savannah wildlife such as lions, Masai giraffes, Zebras, elephants, rhinos, leopards among others with birds like the rare shoe bill stock. The park gets its name from River Akagera that is located on the borders of the park with Tanzania and it pours it water in lake Ihema. You will be rewarded with a game drive as you approach your accommodation site in Akagera national park.
Day 3: Full day Akagera tour (game drive and boat cruise).
Get into a game drive which will take you into to discover the beautiful landscape in this park and its wildlife such as Masai giraffes, Zebras, lions, leopards, baboons, buffalos, elephants and much more. The game drive will last for just 2 hours followed by the boat cruise on lake Ihema where you will spot crocodiles and hippos that live in water. This boat drive is another adventure in its way.
Day 4: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park.
Head to Volcanoes national park the home of 10 habituated gorilla families and the golden monkeys. This park is on the border of DR Congo and Uganda and it a great way to explore gorillas since habituation process started from this point in east Africa by Dian Fossey a female researcher who saved a good number of gorillas. Head to the lodge for the dinner on your arrival and this be one of the best memorable moments.
Day 5: Gorilla trekking and hike to Dian Fossey graveyard.
Have another great adventure day where you will hike the different areas in volcanoes while searching for mountain gorillas. This will begin art attending briefing at the park and you will be having an armed park ranger guide. The forest park is rewarding and you will have different sights like the monkeys, Vegetation, bird species and many others. After this experience where toy will spend an hour with the endangered mountain gorillas, you will head to lodge for break.
Retreat to the offices of the park and have another great experience adventure where you will head to visit the graveyard of Dian Fossey. Learn about this female researcher who dedicated his life to save the gorillas. This will be another great experience in your lifetime.
Day 6: Golden monkey trekking and transfer to Nyungwe National park.
Have a great experience while participating in golden monkey trekking which will last for an average of 3 to 4 hours. These primates are unique and gives a unique experience it their own way.
Have a good time with them for an hour and after find your trail to be out of the forest with a help of the park ranger guide. Head back to the lodge and immediately transfer to Nyungwe forest national park after lunch. You will have a great time here on your arrival after checking in the lodge booked.
Day 7: Chimpanzee tracking.
Head for a briefing at the offices of the park after breakfast which will be followed by immediate start off for the search. You will have a great time while in this forest as you track chimpanzees where you have higher chances of spotting the animals like blue monkeys, vevert monkeys, red tailed monkeys different bird species like African paradise flycatcher, Chinspot batis, Crowned hornbill, Eastern mountain greenbul, Long-crested eagle among others. Spend an hour with the chimps while learning their movements, behaviors, characters and much more while taking memorable photos. Head back to the lodge for leisure and lunch
Day 8: Transfer back to Kigali and departure flight.
Have breakfast and transfer back to Kigali, depending on your scheduled flight. You will have a visit of some city attractions like Gisozi genocide memorial center, the Belgian monument, shopping malls if your flight is at night.
