7 Days Uganda Safari Holiday

This safari is amazing as you visit both savannah and rain forest national parks in the beautiful country. The 7 days Uganda safari will take you to Lake Mburo and Queen Elizabeth national park for a boat cruise and game drive, Kibale national park for chimpanzee tracking and community tour in Isunga village and Bwindi national park for gorilla trekking and visiting the Batwa community.

The tour involves an enroute stopover at Uganda equator and another one in Mubende town for lunch break. There is a lot to spot while on this safari and among others include; the lions, leopards, impalas, buffalos, elephants, warthogs, hyenas among others.

Detailed itinerary.

Day 1: Arrive and transfer to Lake Mburo national park

Head to the nearest national park of Kampala the capital city of Uganda and this will involve an en-route stopover at the Uganda equator. This park is also the smallest savannah park in the country but known to have unique animals such as the impalas and the zebras.

Have an enroute break at the Uganda equator for memorable photographic moment. Arrive and head straight to the lodge for your dinner and overnight stay.

Day 2: A day of exploration in Lake Mburo National Park.

Take a game drive in the morning and an afternoon boat cruise where you will explore the beauty of the park and this will expose you to different animals such as the zebras, impalas, Topis, hyenas, jackal, leopards and buffaloes. The crocodiles and hippos will also be spotted while on the gamed but remember each activity will last for 2 hours.

Day 3: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Leave Mburo national park and transfer to Bwindi national park where you will be able to take part in gorilla trekking and visiting the Batwa community the next day. Bwindi national park is known as the impenetrable forest since its forest are thick and hard to penetrate. The journey will take about 5 hours drive but memorable. Arrive and check in the accommodation facility

Day 4: Gorilla trekking experience and community tour to the Batwa villages.

Take part in gorilla trekking adventure that where you will visit one of the gorilla families in Bwindi for an hour and this will be done on foot. Briefing will commence at the offices of the park followed with following the par guide who will take you to the location of these great apes. Spend a maximum of an hour in the presence of these apes and after trek back to the lodge for another afternoon adventure.

The Batwa community experience will reward you with knowledge about how these people used to live in the forest, attend their traditional music and dances, hand craft making and making natural fire. You will therefore, head back to the lodge for your dinner.

Day 5: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park via Ishasha sector and boat cruise.

Head to queen Elizabeth national park passing through Ishasha sector a great sector known for inhabiting the rare tree climbing trees that will be spotted resting in the tree branches. This park is amazing and as soon as you enter, you will be greeted with wild animals and among others are the Uganda kobs, warthogs, lions, leopards, cheetahs, buffalos, elephants and spotted hyenas and with over 600 bird species such as egrets, fish eagles, vultures among others.

Immediately you will head to Mweya to take a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you will be able to spot crocodiles, hippos, mammals and several bird species.

Day 6: Game drive and transfer to Kibale national park. Afternoon chimpanzee tracking.

Have a morning game drive to catch up with early raisers such as lions, leopards, spotted hyenas, jackals among others but more animals such as the elephants, buffalos, Uganda kobs and many others will be sotted while on this great morning game drive. After, head to Kibale national park passing through the Ndali – Kasenda craters and have your lunch at the lodge booked.

Head for an afternoon chimpanzee tracking in Kanyanchu information centre and this will commence with briefing that normally introduces trekkers about what the chimpanzees are, what they want, and behavior among others. trekking will take about 3 hours including an hour in their presence. After, head back to lodge booked where you will spend the last night of your 7 days Uganda safari.

Day 7: Short Isunga community tour and transfer back to Kampala.

Have a short tour in Isunga community and this can cover tea and coffee plantations experience where you get to learn about the two main cash crops grown at the edge of Kibale national park as one of the methods used to conserve wild animals. After, you will head back to Kampala while passing though the tea plantations, natural forest and road side markets. Lunch enroute will be in Mubende town, proceed and be dropped at Entebbe international airport.
