4 Days Murchison falls national park safari : Murchison falls national park is the largest protected area covering an area of 3,893 kilometers squared. The park is found in Northern Uganda and it is famous for the world’s big five that is; Lion, Buffalo, Leopard, Elephant, and Rhino, it is also famous for having the world’s strongest waterfall. The park is also gifted with primates like Chimpanzees, Blue monkeys, and Baboons in the Budongo forest. The park also has different vegetation, ranging from savannah to forest vegetation. The journey will take you about 6 hours from Kampala/Entebbe to Murchison falls national park.

 ITINERARY SUMMARY.

DAY 1. Transfer from Kampala to Murchison falls National Park and Rhino tracking.

DAY 2. Morning game drive and launch cruise.

DAY 3. Chimpanzee tracking and walk to the top of the falls.

DAY 4. Transfer back to Kampala.

 DETAILED ITINERARY.

 DAY 1. Transfer from Kampala to Murchison falls national park.

In the morning after your breakfast, the driver/guide will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to Murchison falls National Park, a journey that will you 6 hours but with a stopover. You will branch to Ziwa Rhino sanctuary for Rhino tracking an exercise that will take you about 2 hours, after that, you will embark on your journey. You will have a stopover at Masindi hotel for lunch and continue to Murchison. You will check in at your hotel in the evening for a relaxed overnight stay.

DAY 2. Morning game drive and Launch cruise.

After your early morning breakfast, you will embark on the morning game drive, an experience that will expose you to different wildlife lions, buffaloes, elephants, leopards, giraffes, elands, and many birds chirping in the green tree brunches. You will have this experience for about 2-3 hours and later go back to the Hotel, relax and have lunch then in the evening at around 3:00 pm, you will have your launch cruise at the bottom of the falls. You will have the chance to see the world’s strongest waterfall where the Nile forces its water in the 7 Meters making the cauldron, you will also have chances of seeing how the Nile harbors Hippos and Crocodiles which will be seen chasing each other in the Nile waters. You will go back to your lodge at around 6 pm for a mouthwatering dinner and overnight stay.

 DAY 3. Chimpanzee tracking and Walk to the falls.

You will have your packed breakfast at around 6:30 am and head to Budongo forest where you will be tracking Chimpanzees, an exercise that starts at around 7:00 am when they are waking up to start their day. You will find these chimpanzees playing, and feeding young ones and this will give you a soothing experience forever. You will also find different bird species which is a sub-activity while tracking Chimpanzees. This is a good activity for the birders since the park is also known for a recorded number of birds equaling 451 bird species. You will go back to your lodge for relaxation and lunch. Then in the evening at around 3:30 pm, you will go for a walk at the top of the falls for magical sceneries, take pictures, and see how the sun sets. You will enjoy this walk since you will be passing by animals like giraffes, elephants, buffaloes, and Hippos but with a game ranger. You will go back to the hotel for your last night’s stay.

 DAY 4. Transfer back to Kampala.

After your morning breakfast, you will pack your luggage and transfer back to Kampala. You will see the flat land of Masindi with hut houses for the called Manyattas, the houses are so short and they give a beautiful memory as you wind up with your journey.
