3 Days Mount Elgon & Sipi Falls Safari
While taking this 3 Days Mount Elgon & Sipi safari, you will be able to tour Sipi falls and Mount Elgon National Park known to have the largest caldera in the world. The journey to and from involves different stopovers and among others include one on Namawojolo where you will have en-route snacks.
Pass through the Mabira forest where you have high chances of spotting primates such as the Vervet monkeys, red colobus monkeys, and olive baboons, among others. You will also hike Sipi falls that has a series of 3 different falls that is at 100m, 85m and 75m and this will reward you with the best experience while passing through coffee plantations.
Day 1: Transfer to Mbale and hike the Sipi falls.
Embark on a journey to Mbale District where you will be able to pass through Mabira forest while heading to the Eastern part of the country. You will have small snacks on the way, including Namawojolo Road side market. Find yourself at the foothills of Mount. Elgon, relax as you take lunch and after head to Kapchorwa, the home of Sipi falls.
The hike will be starting with the highest that stands at 100m, followed by another one at 85m and the last at 75m. The hike takes about 3 hours but very rewarding as the trail passes through the Sebei and Gishu coffee plantations and return to the lodge after this interesting experience.
Day 2: Hike Mount. Elgon.
Get done with breakfast at the lodge and then drive to the starting point with your packed lunch that you will enjoy. Attend a briefing session and register in order to be able to start the fascinating hike, commencing immediately as you pass through the coffee plantation and montane forests.
Spot different creatures that live in Mount. Elgon such as birds, rivers, trees, reptiles like chameleons, different primates such as red-tailed monkeys and Vervet monkeys, etc. You will also discover the best of caves in the middle of the mountain. Head back to the lodge in the evening and this will mark the end of the second day of your 3 Days Mount. Elgon & Sipi falls safari.
Day 3: Return to Kampala.
Have a relaxed breakfast and embark on a journey back to Kampala. Have a stopover in Jinja where you have a boat cruise to the source of R. Nile which will comprise interesting sighting of birds, fauna, islands and many more.
Later be served with lunch at one of the resorts facing the Nile and this will create memories followed by embarking on the journey to Kampala. Depending on your scheduled flight, you may have a short city tour to visit the National museum, local markets and more others depending on time available. Head to the airport in Kampala and this will mark the end of your tour.
