3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari
Participate in this 3 Days Bwindi Gorilla Trekking Safari of Uganda and get to encounter the endangered mountain gorillas and Batwa communities. This safari will involve enroute moments at the point where the equator crosses Uganda and then take memorable photos.
Another stopover will be in Mbarara where you will take lunch and this will be a local or traditional meal. Gorilla trekking will expose you in front of one gorilla family for an hour and this will create another memorable experience in your lifetime. Bwindi national Park is located in south western Uganda and has 19 habituated gorilla families. The park has Equatorial forests that are thick making it hard to penetrate.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up and transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
Be picked from an agreed point in Kampala or Entebbe and straight away, head to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Have enroute lunch in Mbarara after a stopover at the Uganda equator where you will be able to engage in the experiment, photography and maybe buying some souvenirs.
Pass through the terraced Kigezi highlands and these will be eye catching moments and after check in the accommodation site on your arrival.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking adventure and Batwa Community Walk
Head to the offices of the park after breakfast for briefing and this will take about 20 minutes. The experience will take about 3 to 4 hours while in the jungle but an hour will take an hour with the gorillas. There is a lot you will spot while in the forest and among others are monkeys, bird species such as Kivu ground thrush, black-billed Turaco, African Emerald cuckoo, African blue, White tailed blue, Fly catchers, African green pigeon and may others. After you will head back to lodge for lunch. Proceed and visit the Batwa community where you will have a great time with them where they will be entertaining you through traditional dances and music.
Day3. Transfer back to Kampala
Have a morning breakfast and after transfer to Kampala with a stopover at the Uganda equator for lunch. Proceed with the journey and get to Kampala, be dropped at the airport or at a hotel depending on your choice.
