14 Days Uganda Safari : 14 Days in Uganda is plenty to explore these major destinations: the Sipi area, plus Murchison Falls, Kibale, Queen Elizabeth, and Bwindi national parks. On this safari, you will have remarkable experiences of hiking, primate tracking, wildlife viewing, and walking in the unspoiled natural environment.

Safari schedule

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport and transfer to the hotel

Your private safari guide for this 14 Day safari will receive you at the airport and transfer you to your hotel in Entebbe or Kampala. Before he leaves, he will remind you and agree upon the pick-up time for the transfer to Kapchorwa the next day.

Day 2: Transfer to Kapchorwa and a hike to the Sipi Falls in the evening

After your morning breakfast, you will meet your safari guide and set off for Kapchorwa. The 6-7 hours drive will take you through the busy and historical town of Jinja, arrive at your booked lodge, have lunch, and relax.

Later in the evening, head out for a hike to the Sipi Falls and return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Sunrise walk and Coffee tour experience

You have got to make wonderful memories with lovely photos of the sunrise in this region. It comes with a colorful view which makes everything beautiful. After the sunrise walk, proceed to one of the local homes for coffee tasting and later return to the lodge and relax.

Day 4: Morning breakfast and transfer to Murchison Falls National Park.

You will have a leisurely breakfast at the lodge, check out, and set off for Murchison Falls National Park. Expect to arrive at the lodge in Murchison Falls National Park in the afternoon, check in, and relax.

Head out for an evening game drive with chances of seeing elephants, antelopes, and lions among other animals.

Day 5: Morning game drive around the park and afternoon boat cruise on the Victoria Nile

After an early morning breakfast at your lodge, you will go for a game drive in the northern part of Murchison Falls National Park. The earlier the drive, the higher the chances of seeing lions and leopards before they return to their hideouts after hunting in the night and early morning. Animals commonly seen during game drives here include Jackson’s hartebeest, Uganda kobs, giraffes and hippos.

You will have lunch at the lodge and go for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of the falls. Countless hippos are seen in the water and several bird species. The highlight of the cruise is watching the bottom of the Murchison waterfalls.

Day 6: Visit the top of the falls and transfer to Kibale National Park

Enjoy your breakfast and checkout of the lodge. Drive to the top of Murchison Falls, have all those views and thunderous sounds to yourself, and later set off to Kibale. An en-route lunch and arrival at the lodge in the evening.

Day 7: Chimp tracking and Bigodi Swamp Walk

Prepare to go for the morning session of chimpanzee tracking by having a morning breakfast and transferring to the park offices for briefing. Thereafter, under the guidance of a ranger guide, enter the forest to search for the apes. Once they are spotted, you will have an hour with them and return to the lodge, have lunch and relax.

Head out for a nature walk to explore Bigodi and later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 8: Crater exploration and transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Kibale and Fort Portal are home to many craters and some of them will be explored on this day with your safari and site guides. From here, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park, check in to your lodge and relax. You will have an en-route lunch in Kasese town.

Day 9: Game drive and boat cruise on Kazinga channel

Game drives are a highlight of a visit to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Have an early morning breakfast and drive to Kasenyi for a game drive that will last for about 4 hours. Some of the animals you should expect to see include waterbucks, Uganda kobs, elephants, hippos, and lions.

In the afternoon, you will enjoy a boat cruise on Kazinga channel and return to the lodge in the late afternoon or evening.

Day 10: Coffee tasting, community tour, and crater drive in the evening

As you continue to explore Queen Elizabeth National Park, you will have a community tour in Bunyaruguru to interact with the locals and learn about their way of life. Return to the lodge for lunch and go for a crater drive in the evening. Apart from scenic viewing while on this activity, some craters attract animals and can be spotted there.

Day 11: Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

While driving to Bwindi through Ishasha, you have chances to spot the tree-climbing lions. Depending on the sector where you will track the gorillas, you may arrive at your lodge in the late afternoon or in the evening.

Day 12: Gorilla tracking

While enjoying the cool freshness of Bwindi, you will start the day with an early morning breakfast, carry your packed lunch, and transfer to the park offices. After the briefing about gorilla trekking, you will start the search for the apes in the forest and will stay in their presence for an hour after finding them.

Return to the lodge and relax up to evening as you prepare for the next day’s activity.

Day 13: Bwindi Forest Walk (Buhoma – Nkuringo)

Once you are ready for the day, you will head out to the park offices, meet your guides, and start the forest walk through Bwindi. This walk gives an experience of feeling so closer to nature.

Day 14: Drive back to Kampala/ Entebbe

This is the last day of your 14 Days Uganda Expedition and it will start with breakfast at the lodge, followed by checking out, and then get on the road to return to Kampala. You will briefly stop at the equator and arrive in Kampala or Entebbe in the evening.
